East Chambers Buccaneers Undefeated Season over After Five Games

    The East Chambers Buccaneers were hoping to stay undefeated as they played their second district game of the season on Thursday, October 2nd at home, but unfortunately, they came up short against the Hardin Hornets, falling 43-21.

  Coming into this game, both teams were undefeated on the season. Back in October of 2024 the Bucs zapped the Hornets by one touchdown.

   The Buccaneers were led by QB #15 JD Zurby with 6 of 13 passes for a total of 115 yards, and 6 carries for a total of 46 yards. 

   East Chambers rushed for a total of 116 yards. Rushing for the Bucs #1 Koby Jones with 8 carries for 37 yards, and 1 TD; #10 Darius Edmonson with 2 carries for 4 yards, and 1 TD; #24 Luke Hampton with 2 carries for 15 yards; #5 Rashard Hale with 3 carries for 9 yards; #3 Ethan West with 1 carry for 3 yards; and #13 Josh Smith with 1 carry for 2 yards.

  Receiving for the Bucs: #2 Colby West with 2 receptions for 78 yards, and 1 TD; #1 Koby Jones with 1 reception for 10 yards; #10 Darius Edmonson with 1 reception for 7 yards; #12 Tanner Salazar with 1 reception for 16 yards; and #14 Jackson Seabaugh with 1 reception for 4 yards.

   The Buccaneers were led defensively by: #24 Luke Hampton with 7 solo tackles, 3 assists, and 1 TFL; #8 Bryce Guillory with 6 solo tackles, and 4 assists; #22 Dalton Dishman with 6 solo tackles, and 4 assists; #10 Darius Edmonson with 5 solo tackles, and 3 assists; #5 Rashard Hale with 4 solo tackles, and 3 assist; #7 Reid Todd with 3 solo tackles, and 3 assists; #32 Jovanni Gomez with 3 solo tackles, and 2 TFL; #54 Jason Janak with 3 solo tackles, 5 assits; #44 Sean Beighley with 2 solo tackles, and 1 assist; #52 Aiden Baker with 1 solo tackle, and 2 assists; #12 Tanner Salazar with 2 assists;  #20 Tai’Veon Harmon with 1 solo tackle; #40 Gradyn Oliver with 1 solo tackle; and #50 Christian Chavez with 1 assist. 

   Kicking for the Bucs #6 Adan Garcia with 4 kickoffs for 92 yards, and 3-3 field goals.

    The Bucs are ranked 3rd in District behind the Hardin Hornets and the Orangefield Bobcats. The Buccaneers are 4-1 Overall and 1-1 in District play.

   The Buccaneers will travel the short distance to Anahuac on Friday, October 10th to take on the Anahuac Panthers with kickoff at 7:30pm.
