East Chambers Buccaneers Boys Soccer Overall Record: 9-1-3, District Record: 1-0-2

  The Bucs hosted Huffman in a district game Tuesday Feb 11th. The game was tied 0-0 at halftime. The Bucs would take the lead 1-0 with 14 minutes left in the game when Ricardo Lopez scored with a header off of a corner kick. The kick was taken by Max Vargas. The goal would end up being the game winning goal as the final was 1-0.

Defensively the Bucs were led by Cristian Moreno (7 steals), Francisco Granados (6 steals), Jose Rufino, Ricardo Lopez, and Felipe Serbino with 5 steals each.

Goalkeeper Alejandro Roca had 3 blocks and 3 saves.

  The Bucs traveled to Livingston Friday night to take on the Lions. After a defensive battle, regulation ended with a score of 0-0. The Bucs and Lions would go to penalty kicks with the Bucs winning the shootout 4-3. Goalkeeper Alejandro Roca had two saves and scoring pk’s were Adan Garcia, Chris Chavez, Francisco Granados, and Max Vargas with the winning penalty kick.

  The East Chambers Bucs hosted the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns on Tuesday, February 18th. The Bucs will have a BYE on Friday, February 21st and on Tuesday, February 25th. They will return to District play on Friday, February 28th when they host the Liberty Panthers with JV at 5:00pm and Varsity at 7:00pm.
