East Chambers Buccaneers Boys Soccer Compete in the Vidor Tournament

The Bucs played in the Vdor Tournament, Jan 15-17.. The Bucs would fall to West Brook 3-1 in their first game of the tournament. The Bucs would struggle offensively, only managing 4 shots.

Their lack of shots continued against United where the Bucs only managed 3 shots. Their mistakes and lack of offense were factors in the Bucs 2-1 loss to United. The Bucs would regroup on Saturday defeating the Vidor Pirates 7-0.

Scoring for the Bucs was David Lopez.

Defensively the Bucs were led by Mario Herrera (11 steals), Ricardo Lopez (8 steals), David Lopez (7 steals), Max Vargas (6 steals) and Leonel Turrurbiarte (5 steals).

Goalkeeper Anthony Gomez had 2 saves.

Goalkeeper  Anthony Gomez had 7 saves and 1 block.

Overall record: 5-6

The Bucs will continue play on Friday, January 30th when they host Bob Hope with start time at 7:00pm. The Bucs will have a BYE on Tuesday, February 3rd to prepare for District play. The East Chambers Buccaneers will begin District play on Friday, February 6th when they host the Liberty Panthers with a game time of 7:00pm.
