  The East Chambers hosted Orangefield on Tuesday, March 3rd and hosted the East Chambers Tournament from Thursday, March 5th – Saturday, March 7th.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Fall After Strong Showing By Orangefield

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers couldn’t keep up with Orangefield and fell 7-1 on Tuesday.

  Orangefield got on the board in the first inning after Worthy doubled, scoring three runs.

  Orangefield added one run in the second. Click singled to center field, making the score 4-0.

  Hank Huff started the game for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The pitcher gave up five hits and six runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking six. Spears stepped on the mound first for Orangefield. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and one run over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 11 and walking four.

  Reid Todd led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with one run batted in. The leadoff hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Tanner Salazar led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with two hits in three at bats.

  Worthy drove the middle of the lineup, leading Orangefield with four runs batted in. The catcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Click, Worthy, Anderson, Sanches, and Reynolds each collected one hit for Orangefield. Johnson led Orangefield with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Orangefield stole six bases in the game. Orangefield were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Worthy made the most plays with 13.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Claim Victory Over Evadale

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers beat Evadale 4-0 on Thursday.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Case Rayburn grounded out, scoring one run, Hank Huff doubled, scoring two runs, and Zach Richey singled, scoring one run.

  Grant Jones earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking three. Stone took the loss for Evadale. The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out four and walking three. Sam Cathriner threw one inning of no-run ball for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit, striking out none and walking one.

  Huff provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Richey went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers in hits. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers turned one double play in the game. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Rayburn had the most chances in the field with nine.

  Hubbard, Palmer, and Seals each collected one hit for Evadale. Evadale turned one double play in the game.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Defeat Big Sandy On Dominant Performance From Hayden Leveck  

  Hayden Leveck threw a shutout to lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers past Big Sandy 5-0 on Friday at 280–298 School Rd.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Koby Jones tripled to center field, and Sam Cathriner grounded out, each scoring one run.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added one run in the third after Big Sandy dropped a third strike.

  Zach Mcgallion took the loss for Big Sandy. The starting pitcher went six innings, giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out 12 and walking two.

  Jones and Reid Todd were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. Cathriner, Jones, Todd, and Tanner Salazar each drove in one run for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers turned one double play in the game. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Josh Smith had the most chances in the field with nine.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Loses Pitchers Duel To Brazos Christian Varsity

  Both teams were strong on the bump on Friday, but Brazos Christian Varsity was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-2 victory over East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. Braxtyn Trahan started the game for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers and recorded 12 outs.

  Brazos Christian Varsity got on the board in the top of the second inning after East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers committed an error, and Davis walked, each scoring one run.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a ground out by Zach Richey, and a sacrifice fly by Josh Smith.

  A single by Jacobus gave Brazos Christian Varsity the lead, 3-2, in the top of the third.

  Trahan started the game for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The righty allowed four hits and three runs over four innings, striking out two and walking three. Caraway led things off on the bump for Brazos Christian Varsity. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking two.

  Smith led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with one run batted in.  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers’s Landon Lockhart, the number nine hitter, led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with two hits in three at bats.

  Jacobus and Faulkner each drove in one run for Brazos Christian Varsity. Komar collected two hits for Brazos Christian Varsity in three at bats. Komar stole two bases. Brazos Christian Varsity stole six bases in the game. Brazos Christian Varsity turned one double play in the game.
