It was a great turn out for the monthly Winnie-Stowell Senior Citizen Get Together Luncheon held on Thursday, December 18th. The luncheon was hosted by Dr. Boutte and her staff and the gumbo was catered by Cattleman’s Kitchen. The luncheon was held at the Winnie-Stowell Community Building and there were over 60 people in attendance.

Bill Keating entertained the crowd by singing Christmas carols, Dr Boutte hosted Bingo with prizes and door prizes, Commissioner Jimmy Gore and Judge Devillier helped hand out the prizes, and Michelle Hardy and Drew Broussard with the Winnie-Stowell EMS provided bloodpressure checks.

The next Senior Citizen Get Together will be held on Thursday, January 15th from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the Winnie Community Building, 335 S Park St, Winnie. Lunch and drinks are provided. EMS will provide blood pressure checks. For rides and questions, call Commissioner Gore’s office at 409-267-2644.
