It was an honor to spend a beautiful evening in our nation’s capital, having dinner with President Trump in the new White House Rose Garden and visiting with him in the historic Oval Office. These are the very rooms where some of the most consequential decisions in American history have been made—from the fight for freedom in World War II to the bold leadership that won the Cold War. President Trump is truly writing history. Every action he takes is rooted in putting America first—rebuilding our strength, restoring our economy, securing our borders, and reasserting America’s leadership on the world stage. We are a stronger nation because of his vision and courage, and I was honored to spend the evening discussing how we can continue delivering for the American people. |
Last week, President Trump made a historic move to restore strength and clarity to our nation’s military. On Friday, he announced that the Department of Defense will return to its original name: the Department of War. For too long, our military has been bogged down by DEI mandates and political distractions that weakened readiness and morale. Under President Trump’s leadership, that era is over. For nearly 200 years, America operated proudly under the banner of the Department of War—an unapologetic reminder that our Armed Forces exist to win and defend this nation. The tide is turning. America is going back to its roots, and our military is once again moving from defense to offense. The Department of War is back, and with it, the resolve to protect our people, defeat our enemies, and secure America’s future. |
This week, I joined Newsmax to discuss the month ahead and some of the critical issues before Congress. Our work to fund the government and avoid a shutdown remains a top priority. We also discussed President Trump’s military strike against a Venezuelan drug boat carrying deadly poison into our country. Once again, he made it clear that there’s a new sheriff in town, and he will stop at nothing to protect the American people. In addition, President Trump’s decision to relocate the U.S. Space Force headquarters to Huntsville, Alabama—Rocket City, USA—just makes sense. As he has rightly said, space is the new battleground, and America must be prepared to lead. I look forward to seeing the tremendous advancements that will come from this move. |
