Quinten “Q” Adams, Chambers County Emergency Services Field Operations Support Division Chief, was awarded the 2025 Public Servant of the Year at the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards luncheon earlier this week.
Public safety depends not only on the men and women responding in the field, but also on the dedicated professionals working behind the scenes to ensure critical systems are maintained and performing at their highest level. Q plays an essential role in ensuring Chambers County’s radio communications system remains reliable, functional, and continually improved to support emergency operations.
In addition to his technical expertise, Q is a certified peace officer, arson investigator, EMT-B, CPR instructor, and TCFP firefighter—further demonstrating his commitment to serving our community in every capacity.
Reliable radio communication is vital for coordination among law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, emergency management, and partner agencies. Every dispatch, emergency transmission, and multi-agency response relies on a system that must operate consistently and effectively. Through proactive monitoring, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and system upgrades, Q works diligently to ensure our communications infrastructure is always operating at its best.
His responsibilities go well beyond basic maintenance. He identifies potential vulnerabilities, addresses issues before they escalate into operational disruptions, and responds promptly when technical concerns arise. During severe weather events, large-scale incidents, and daily operations alike, his attention to detail and technical expertise help ensure that first responders can communicate clearly and safely.
The safety of those who serve our community depends heavily on dependable communications. Because of Q’s steady and professional efforts, we are confident that our radio system is maintained, supported, and continually strengthened to meet the needs of our county’s first responders.
His dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public safety make him highly deserving of this recognition.
Thank you for your service, Q!
