Winnie, Texas – September 22, 2025 – Coastal Gateway Health Center (CGHC), a leading provider of primary care services in Winnie, Texas, has been recognized with multiple national awards from the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Medical Association (AMA) for its outstanding commitment to improving cardiovascular and metabolic health among the patients it serves.

CGHC achieved the following prestigious recognitions:

  • Gold Level Recognition – Check. Change. Control. Cholesterol™ Achievement Award
    Honors CGHC for demonstrating exceptional ≥70% appropriate statin therapy use throughout its at-risk patient population.
  • Participant Level Recognition – Target: Type 2 Diabetes Achievement Award
    Recognizes CGHC’s commitment to enhancing quality of care through awareness, detection, and management of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors.
  • Gold+ Achievement Level – Target: BP™ Recognition
    Presented jointly by the AHA and AMA, this award celebrates CGHC’s exceptional ≥70% blood pressure control rate in its adult patient population through evidence-based activities across multiple Target: BP™ pillars.

This luncheon will celebrate the contributions of CGHC and other organizations working alongside the AHA to advance its mission of longer, healthier lives for all.
