  Chambers County Recognized for Outstanding Service!

  On March 11, 2025, Chambers County Tax Assessor-Collector Laurie Payton was honored by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles with the Bronze Level Performance Quality Recognition Award for outstanding efficiency and service in processing vehicle title and registration transactions.

  This prestigious recognition is only awarded to a handful of counties across Texas each year, and Chambers County is proud to be among them!

  Mrs. Payton, who has served since February 1, 2023, has prioritized exceptional customer service by ensuring her team stays up to date with current laws and best practices. She credits this award to the hard work and dedication of her staff.
