CHAMBERS COUNTY, TX — Chambers County has been officially designated as a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador and recognized as StormReady, highlighting the County’s continued commitment to emergency preparedness, effective planning, and public safety.

The Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador designation recognizes organizations that actively support the National Weather Service’s mission to improve community resilience against extreme weather, water, and climate events. The StormReady recognition is awarded to communities that meet rigorous standards for severe weather preparedness, communication, and emergency response.

“Chambers County has long set the standard for preparedness, planning, and emergency response,” said Chambers County Judge Jimmy Sylvia. “These designations reinforce that commitment and demonstrate our dedication to protecting the long-term health and safety of our residents. Congratulations to Emergency Manager Ryan Holzaepfel and his team on this well-deserved recognition.”

These recognitions reflect the County’s proactive approach to emergency management, including coordinated response planning, strong communication systems, and ongoing public education efforts designed to keep residents informed before, during, and after hazardous weather events.

“We remain committed to keeping residents informed so they can make the best decisions for their families and property,” said Chambers County Emergency Services Chief Ryan Holzaepfel. “These designations recognize that ongoing effort, and we will continue providing timely information and guidance as future issues arise.”
