Chambers County News Release
You asked—and we listened! After months of behind-the-scenes work, we’re excited to announce that recycling services are officially returning to Chambers County.
Beginning January 2, 2025, Chambers County will offer recycling at three Citizen Collection Stations. This is Phase One of the program, and plastics are the only materials being accepted at this time. With strong community participation, we plan to expand both locations and accepted materials in the future.

What can be recycled?
Plastics ONLY — no other materials will be accepted at this time.
We’re also launching special recycling initiatives, including the Bag It & Bring It™ campaign, focused on education and reducing waste sent to the landfill.
Thank you for helping us bring recycling back to Chambers County. This is a big step forward—and it starts with YOU!
Throw Trash Away Responsibly!
Step 1 – Empty containers and rinse out any liquids, food or other residue when appropriate.
Step 2 – Bag It – Collect all items and place them into a plastic bag. Trash bags or grocery sacks are ideal.
Step 3 – Recycle. Drop your bagged items at the closest Citizen’s site that accepts recycling.
