BEAUMONT, TX – The Beaumont Mural Festival is back for its fourth annual celebration, set to take place on March 8-9 at the Downtown Beaumont Civic Center. This year’s festival promises to be a vibrant and dynamic event, featuring a diverse lineup of both international and local artists, and is free and open to the public.
The Beaumont Mural Festival has become a cornerstone of the community, bringing together artists, residents, and visitors to celebrate the power of public art. This year’s event will showcase a wide array of murals, live painting sessions, and family-friendly activities. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness the creation of stunning murals in real-time, transforming the downtown area into an open-air gallery.
“We are thrilled to host the fourth annual Beaumont Mural Festival and to welcome such a talented group of artists,” said Min Dai, festival organizer and owner of Obana Restaurant Group. “This event not only highlights the incredible artistic talent within our community but also fosters a sense of unity and pride among residents and visitors alike.”
This year, the community is invited to be part of the first community mosaic installation by mosaic artist and festival curator, J Muzacz. “There will be food trucks, music, and kids’ activities, as well as interactive artworks such as a new landmark mosaic collaboration happening all weekend,” Muzacz added. “And while artists are painting all week, people are welcome to come visit and meet them while they work, to watch the magic happen as the artworks come alive on the walls.”
Featured artists include renowned muralists from around the world, as well as emerging local talents. The festival aims to provide a platform for artists to share their work, connect with the community, and inspire future generations of creatives.
“Mural Fest is a great event for Beaumont, and it adds so much to the city beyond the festival itself,” John Beaver, Director of Tourism at the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). “The murals add to a growing tapestry beautifying our city’s downtown and gives us valuable pieces we can package together in self-guided mural tours, scavenger hunts and more that help us promote Beaumont as an arts and culture destination.”
In addition to the mural installations, the festival will offer a variety of activities for all ages, including: live music performances, food trucks and local vendors, local artist booths and cubes, kids area, and more. As the murals remain a permanent fixture in the city, they serve as a constant reminder of the transformative power of art and the beauty of cultural exchange. “Our participation in this festival extends far beyond the event itself; it’s about creating a lasting legacy of murals that will captivate and inspire visitors for years to come,” said Freddie Willard, Executive Director of the Beaumont CVB.
