The Seabreeze Beacon was honored to sponsor the January 2026 Seniors Luncheon last Thursday. Office Manager Sharisa Nelson cooked a delicious lunch of chicken spaghetti, green beans, and garlic toast. Over 70 seniors from the area and The Arboretum enjoyed the meal while chatting with each other.

253rd District Court Judge Chap Cain gave the blessing over the food. Pct 1 Commissioner Jimmy Gore welcomed everyone and gave updates on the projects in Winnie and Stowell. He also talked about the upcoming primary elections which will be held on March 3, 2026. He encouraged the attendees to make sure they are registered to vote. The deadline to register to vote in the March primary is February 2, 2026.

The February senior luncheon will be held on February 5, 2026. Physio-Therapy is sponsoring the luncheon.

If you would like to sponsor a luncheon or need transportation assistance, call Kim Silcox with Commissioner Gore’s office at 409-296-8250.
