Anahuac ISD Education Foundation directors have named Julia Hall as AEF’s first Executive Director. The Foundation, born in 2012, is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support innovative projects, programs and products in Anahuac ISD classrooms.

Directors have taken care of the operations of the Foundation on a volunteer basis for the past 12 years but the board desired to have a key person to conduct day-to-day business to better serve the district.

Julia Hall is a native Anahuacian, having graduated from AHS in 1985. She earned her Bachelor of Science Education degree from Baylor University and her Masters of Science Education from University of Houston, Clear Lake.

She has taught in many fields, including elementary teacher, Instructional Technology Specialist, elementary Special Education Coordinator and Assistant Principal.

Hall also served as Pearland ISD Alternative High School Principal from 2009-2024, Hardin ISD Junior High Principal 2014 through 2018, and Anahuac ISD Elementary Principal 2018 through 2020.

“Serving as the Foundation’s Executive Director gives me the opportunity to give back to a district that developed and supported me throughout my years in education,” said Hall.

“I’m looking forward to working with the AEF board and AISD administration to bring opportunities through funding and service to support our staff members in their endeavor to enrich the students of AISD.”

“The Foundation board has discussed adding the Executive Director role for well over a year and is very excited to bring Julia Hall onboard to support the day-to-day operations of the Foundation,” said Education Foundation Board President Andy Legg.

“The most important component of the discussion was finding the right person for the job – we are very confident we have found this with Julia.

“Her many valuable years’ experience in education, administration, and her values, make her uniquely qualified for the role.”

“Adding an Executive Director brings stability and added value to the organization by providing a central point of contact available during business/school hours to coordinate and direct activities necessary to the organization,” added Legg.

“It will also provide us the opportunity to better engage potential donors, including corporate donors, and to build relationships supporting the AISD students, faculty/staff and Board of Trustees’ stated mission of ‘Excellence in Education’ for many years into the future.”
