Riceland Medical Center Launches Advanced Pain Management with Successful ESI Procedures

Winnie, TX — September 22, 2025 

Riceland Medical Center achieved a significant milestone in expanding its medical services  this past weekend with the successful completion of two Epidural Steroid Injection (ESI)  procedures. These advanced treatments, aimed at relieving chronic back and nerve pain,  were performed by Pain Management specialist Dr. Ryan McHugh. 

The procedures, offer patients suffering from spinal inflammation and nerve compression a  non-surgical option for pain relief. ESI involves the injection of corticosteroids into the  epidural space of the spine, helping to reduce inflammation and alleviate discomfort caused  by conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and sciatica. 

Hospital CEO Saad Javed praised the initiative, stating:
