  Luke 24 tells us what Jesus did after He rose from the dead. First there is Cleopas & his companion on the way to Emmaus, then there is Christ meeting with His disciples. In both instances Jesus explains that His death and resurrection were clearly taught in the Old Testament scriptures (that they were ignoring) and that He had clearly warned them about what was about to happen. They missed it. Why? Because they had other ideas of what God was “supposed” to do (redeem Israel politically) & what He would never do (let Messiah suffer and be killed). Wrong on both accounts. Do you have expectations of God that He doesn’t seem to understand? It’s very common & causes much confusion. We need to pay attention to His scriptures and not overlook what He has said. God is not our errand boy doing our whims & desires. He is God & expects us to honor, trust, and obey Him. Is it easy to turn Christianity into Us-ianity. God has a plan & He is performing it well. We can trust God to do right and good, even though we often do not recognise what is going on as what God should be doing. Trust God. He is still on the throne.
