Safeguarding American Elections

As your representative, I’m fighting every day for the values we hold dear—freedom, security, and a government that serves the American people, not stands in their way.

Last week in Washington, we took major steps to restore trust in our elections, rein in activist judges, and advance President Trump’s America First agenda.

Here’s what we accomplished, starting with a big win for election integrity:

Nothing is more sacred than the integrity of our elections. That’s why I proudly voted “YES” on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which ensures only U.S. citizens can register to vote in federal elections.

The SAVE Act will:

• Require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote

• Equip states to clean up voter rolls and remove non-citizens

• Codify President Trump’s executive order to secure our elections

• Restore faith in the system by protecting every legal vote

208 Democrats voted against this commonsense legislation, sending a clear message that they’re comfortable with foreign nationals influencing our elections. That’s not just wrong, it’s outrageous.

This shouldn’t be a partisan issue—it’s not about red or blue, it’s about red, white, and blue.

Last week, I proudly voted in favor of the House Budget Resolution—a critical step to deliver on President Trump’s America First vision. This plan delivers what Texans have been asking for:

• Real border security

• Historic spending cuts

• Permanent tax relief for working families

We’re paving the way for what President Trump rightly calls “THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL.” It’s time to get this deal DONE. This budget puts America back on top, restores our economy, and secures our future.

The Constitution gives power to the people—not to activist judges.

That’s why I proudly voted “YES” to pass the No Rogue Rulings Act (NORRA) of 2025. This bill stops unelected district judges from issuing sweeping nationwide rulings that block the President from enforcing laws the American people voted for.

We’ve seen radical judges try to derail President Trump’s agenda at every turn. NORRA reins them in and restores balance to our judicial system. It’s time to end the abuse of power and let our elected leaders lead.
