Old-timers said that it has been quite a while since a revival was held in Winnie. This past Sunday evening, Grace Methodist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kyle Abshire, hosted a Revival on the Road at the East Chambers High School auditorium.

Grace Methodist Church is part of the Trinity Conference Global Methodist Church. As a new church, just slightly over a year old, Pastor Abshire wanted the conference to familiarize itself with Grace Church and the Winnie community. Close to 300 people from around Winnie and the southeast Texas area attended the two-hour event. The Grace Methodist Women provided tables of delicious food and treats for the attendees. The Grace Worship Team provided an upbeat choice of contemporary music for the revival

Newly elected GMC Bishop Kenneth Levingston was the main speaker. He mesmerized the crowd with his powerful message and humor. His message was about renewal, fellowship, and the study of the Bible. After Levingston’s preaching, prayer warriors were on hand for those that were seeking prayers for their special intentions.

Everyone left the revival feeling renewed and new friendships were made by many of the attendees.

GMC ladies did great job hosting the revival.
