Buccaneers Fall Short to the Anahuac Panthers in Nail-Biter 48-53

The East Chambers Bucs hosted the Anahuac Panthers on Friday, October 11th in an exciting game and fell short with a final score 48-53.

Offensive Stats and Highlights: The Buccaneers were led by QB #3 KJ Fontenot with 7 of 13 passes for a total of 149 yards, 1 TD, and 11 carries for a total of 77 yards and 2 TD.

East Chambers rushed for a total of 283 yards. Rushing for the Bucs #0 Jarrell Smith with 5 carries for 51 yards, and 1 TD, and 2 kickoff returns for 34 yards; #4 Earius Ceasar with 7 carries for 92 yards; #9 Tatum Brasseaux with 3 carries for 6 yards, and 4 kickoff returns for 96 yards; #11 Koby Jones with 11 carries for 57 yards, and 2 TD; and #15 Ricardo Lopez with a kickoff return for 13 yards.

Receiving for the Bucs: #0 Jarrell Smith with 3 receptions for 78 yards, and 1 TD; #13 Ethan West with 1 reception for 3 yards; #24 Luke Hampton with 1 reception for 35 yards; and #30 David Lopez with 1 reception for 33 yards.

Defensive Stats and Highlights: The Buccaneers were led defensively by: #8 Ethan Cart with 8 solo tackles, 3 assists, and 3 tackles for loss; #12 Bryce Guillory with 7 solo tackles, and 3 assists; #52 Aiden Baker with 6 solo tackles, and 3 assists; #15 Ricardo Lopez with 5 solo tackles, and 2 assists; #24 Luke Hampton 4 solo tackles, and 2 assists; #1 Kyler Smith with 4 solo tackles, and 2 assists; #40 Dax Henley with 2 solo tackles, and 2 tackles for loss; and #44 Sean Beighley with 1 solo tackle, and 1 tackle for loss.

The Bucs have dropped to 3rd in District behind the Orangefield Bobcats (1st) and the Anahuac Panthers (2nd). They are 4-2 Overall and 2-1 in District play.

The Buccaneers will travel to Coldsrping on Friday, October 18th to take on the Fighting Trojans with kickoff at 7:30pm.
