East Chambers Bucs and Lady Bucs Cross Country Teams 2026 District Champs and Advance to Regionals

By Coach Todd Sutherland, Cross Country

What a great day for the East Chambers Cross Country team at the District Meet on Wednesday, October 14^th. Varsity boys and girls, and JV Boys and girls were all crowned District Champs.

Varsity girls won their 11th consecutive District Championship, which is an unbelievable feat.

Mikeala Quave 2^nd; Rush Todd 3^rd; Isabella Herrera 5^th; Kalyssa Fontenot 9^th; Giselle Santana 15^th; and Karen Hernandez 18^th.

The Varsity boys also put on a show as they dominated varsity race scoring 19 points. The lowest you can get is 15 so that just shows how well they performed. Freshman Javier Granados had a wild sprint to hold on and win first place with the time of 17:24. Xavi Martinez 3^rd; Jason Skinner 4^th; Thiago Martinez 5^th; Drew Frederick 6^th; and Juan Santana 11^th.

What a great effort by all of our kids. I would like to thank the many parents that showed up to watch the District Meet. Very much appreciated! Also, thanks to Ashley Sherman for her help all year and the tremendous job she doesn’t. Great job.

The East Chambers varsity girls and varsity boys Cross Country teams now advance to Regionals in Huntsville, Texas on October 27th.

  Geaux Bucs and Lady Bucs!
