Anahuac Volleyball Begins Strong on the Season

Anahuac Panthers vs. Hemphill Hornets
Anahuac picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Hemphill Hornets 2-1.
The victory improved Anahuac’s record to 3-0.
Anahuac Panthers vs. Deweyville Pirates
Anahuac picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top against the Deweyville Pirates by a score of 2-0. Anahuac has also been no stranger to the win column this season, as they’ve started out with wins in four of their first five matches for a 4-1 record. As for Deweyville, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Anahuac Falls to East Chambers
Anahuac’s tournament run continued when they took on East Chambers on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Buccaneers. The Panthers have now taken an ‘L’ in back-to-back games.
Anahuac’s offense was headlined by Addi Pierce and Lanecia Schonberg, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Sky Hedges and her five assists. Finally, Pierce was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Anahuac’s loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Anahuac took on the Liberty Lady Panthers on Tuesday, August 18th.
