Dear Gloria, Last week, President Trump gathered his Cabinet at Camp David to discuss the future of negotiations with Iran at a pivotal moment for U.S. national security. As talks continue, one principle must remain clear: peace through strength only works if America refuses to sacrifice strength for the sake of temporary peace. Iran’s regime has spent decades funding terrorism, targeting Americans, destabilizing the Middle East, and pursuing nuclear capabilities while exploiting negotiations to buy time. President Trump’s doctrine of peace through strength recognizes that lasting peace is achieved when America’s adversaries fear our resolve more than they desire conflict. As Iran faces mounting economic pressure, weakened proxies, and growing internal unrest, now is not the time for concessions that could allow the regime to regroup. The United States must remain steadfast in ensuring that the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism never obtains a nuclear weapon. America has a chance to confront this threat with determination rather than deferral, and the next generation deserves nothing less. |
