Overall 11-6-1; District 6-1-1

  The Bucs hosted the Huffman Falcons Tuesday, March 3rd with the winner taking the lead in the district standings.  The Falcons took the opening kickoff and played the ball across the field to their right wing. Huffman would settle the ball and score in the first minute. Both teams played a strong defensive game and the Bucs would go into halftime trailing 1-0.  The Bucs would tie the game with 22 minutes left in regulation. Max Vargas played a free kick into the box where Ricardo Lopez was able to make contact with the ball and score. The game would end in a tie with the outcome of the game being decided by penalty kicks. The Bucs would lose the shootout and move into second in the district standings

  Defensively the Bucs were led by Ricardo Lopez, Leonel Turrubiarte, Hector Torres, Hugo Aviles, Mario Herrera, Bryan Chavez and David Lopez.

  Goalkeeper Anthony Gomez had 3 saves and 2 blocks.

 

  The Bucs traveled to Livingston to battle the Lions Friday, March 6th. The Bucs would either trail or tie the Lions throughout the game. East Chambers would tie the game at 3-3 when Bryan Chavez scored the tying goal with 18 minutes left in the game. The Bucs would go ahead 4-3 when Max Vargas scored with 10 minutes remaining. The Bucs would hold off the Lions in the final minutes and secure the win.

  The Bucs finished District at home Monday, March 9th, as they hosted the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns and won 6-1.
