East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs Basketball

  It was a great game on Tuesday, January 6th in Warren, Texas as the East Chambers Buccaneers defeated the Warren Warriors 63-41 in district action.

  The Runnin’ Bucs suffered through a poor shooting night but fortunately the defense was on point to cover for the offensive struggles. The Bucs were only up 3 at half but the full court pressure eventually wore the Warriors down.

  Leading scorers for the Buccaneers were #24 Darius Edmonson with 16pts, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals; #2 Evan Callahan with 12pts and 4 rebounds; #5 Colby West with 11pts, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals; #4 Cam Dillard with 10pts, 8 rebounds, and 1 steal; #23 Dayvon Wallace with 9pts, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, and 4 blocks; #12 Hayden LeVeck with 2 pts, 1 rebound, and 1 steal; #3 Ethan West with 2 pts, 1 rebound, and 3 steals; and #11 Bryce Guillory with 2pts.

  This runs the record to18-4 and 2-0 in district.

  The East Chambers Buccaneers got beat 84 to 64 in a district match up with the Orangefield Bobcats on Friday, January 9th in Winnie.

  The Bucs had a hard time getting the hot shooting, Bobcats guarded and compounded the problem by turning the ball over. Of course, this had a lot to do with the opponent’s defense.

  The Buccaneers were led by #23 Dayvon Wallace with 28pts and 7 rebounds; #4 Cam Dillard with 15pts, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals; #24 Darius Edmonson with 11pts and 4 rebounds; #2 Evan Callahan with 5pts, 4 rebounds, and 1 block; #5 Colby West with 3pts and 7 rebounds; #15 Reid Todd with 2pts, 1 rebound, and 1 steal; #12 Hayden LeVeck with 2 rebounds; and #1 Rashard Hale with 1 rebound.

  This moves, the Buccaneers record to 18-5, 2-1 in district

  The Buccaneers traveled to Hardin on Tuesday, January 13th to take on the Hardin Hornets. The Bucs will host the Kountze Lions on Friday, January 16th with tip-off at 7:30pm. The Bucs will be on the road again on Tuesday, January 20th as they travel to Buna to take on the Buna Cougars.
