2025 Anahuac Panther Alumni Basketball Game Brings Generations Together

Anahuac, Texas — On Saturday, December 20, 2025, nearly 300 members of the community packed the Anahuac High School gym for the 2025 Anahuac Panther Alumni Basketball Game, an exciting evening that brought together generations of Panther basketball players and fans.

Hosted by the Anahuac Youth Sports Organization (AYSO) in partnership with Anahuac Independent School District, the event served as both a community celebration and a fundraiser supporting local youth sports.

A total of 28 male alumni and 10 female alumnae, with graduating classes dating as far back as 1998, returned to the court to represent Panther pride. Two men’s alumni teams—coached by Tristan Lewis and Deray Williams—faced off in the opening game, while the women’s alumni team was coached by Samantha Humphrey and Tori Lewis.

– 4:00 PM – Williams Alumni vs. Lewis Alumni
  Winner: Williams Alumni
– 5:00 PM – Women’s Alumni vs. Girls Varsity
  Winner: Women’s Alumni
– 6:00 PM – Men’s Alumni vs. Boys Varsity
  Winner: Men’s Alumni

Fans were also treated to competitive three-point contests throughout the evening, with the following winners:

– Women’s Three-Point Contest: Meagan Perry – won $110
– Men’s Three-Point Contest: Zachary Childress – won $170
– Open Three-Point Contest: Cullen Cotton – won $250

The night was filled with energy, friendly competition, and unmistakable Panther pride as alumni, current students, families, and community members came together to celebrate the sport they love.

“We are so proud of how this event turned out,” said Samantha Humphrey, AYSO Communications Officer. “There was so much joy in the Panther Den, and it was incredible to see multiple generations come together for such a special night.”
